Remember the old REM song? “Your feet are going to be on the ground/ Your head is there to move you around.” In this song, the feet are just supports, and it’s your head that’s doing the work. We consider our feet to be low man on the totem pole (did I really say that?), but we can’t get far without them. That means we need to take good care of them so they will last us until we’re too old to use them anymore. A low-on-the-totem-pole ailment of our low-on-the-totem-pole feet is toenail fungus.
