Is it safe to take the FDA approved weight loss drug Alli Xanax prescription?
I know that when you are taking Xanax you should not take pills weight loss, but as Alli is the first drug approved by the FDA for weight loss, is it safe to take while taking a prescription Xanax? Please do not spam and real answers only if you know. Thank you.
When talk of not mixing the medication Xanax weight loss, benzodiazepines and other tranquilizers, the general sense is not mixed with stimulants Sibutramine sympathetomimetic – which are the weight loss drugs are traditionally. Alli is the first on the medication for weight loss, sympathetomimetic is not a stimulant, nor is the weight loss drug for the first time. It works by blocking enzymes in the digestive tract breaking the fat, so it can be absorbed by your body. Without these enzymes, the fat never absorbed into the other end. So while there is a specific contraindication, Xanax and most other benzodiazepines are quite soluble in lipids. What this means is that Alli could interfere with the absorption of Xanax – I do not know this has been proven. This is not particularly dangerous, this means that the Xanax is not working well. Since Alli is rather short duration of action, this could probably be maintained by taking them at different times. As with anything, seek, genuine licensed pharmacist or a doctor prescribing the Xanax.
