I need to lose 25 lbs fast. Does the South Beach & Protien diets work?
I want to lose 25 lbs in about 4-5 weeks. I know it’s fast and not healthy blah, blah, blah but I just can’t take it any more. My clothes don’t fit. I have nothing to wear. I gained it when I got pregnant and I had some complications that caused me to gain. I just want it gone and fast. It is affecting my self esteem and how I feel about myself which is affecting my marriage. Once I get it off it will stay off. I am very healthy and I eat very healthy. My colesteral is only 126 and I exercise. I just need a quick fix to get it off once and for all. Help.

in a month, if you eat right and exercise, you should lose about 20 lbs anyways…give it a try…
Atkins….less than 20 grams of carbs per day lots of water lots of exercise…you can lose it fast..the trouble is keeping it off
Well I lost 80 pounds in four months and all I had to do was follow the atkins diet and aerobics 30 minutes 4 days a weeks.
Weight Watchers is pretty awesome. Some people I know went on that diet and they dropped 50 punds like that. Also eat healthy and exercise.
You will not lose that much weight in 4-5 weeks without starving and dehydrating your body, and it will not be permanant weight loss if you do.
The only people that lose that kind of weight that fast, are extremely obese people, who in the beginning of healthy eating, drop water weight fast and furious. That is not a true weight loss.
You may eat well, healthy, several smaller meals a day, and Walk or exercise, and can lose 1-3 pounds a week safely. The key is keeping it there by continuing to eat well.
If you do not include exercise as an important part of any change in your diet, you will gain back anything you lose. There is no substitution for it and nothing will stick if you don’t continue with exercise.
Yes, South Beach will work but be fully prepared to gain it all back. You lose it in fat AND muscle. You gain it back in ALL fat. Not even kidding, I’ve known tons of people who’ve had this happen (no pun intended). But yeah, it works to start with. If you want to do it the healthy way, you know what to do.
The South Becah diet does work. My step mom did it,and she lost about 20 pounds. Also, she now uses these Brazilain diet pills that work very well. The help her to burn fat. Don’t forget to exercise.

Just stop eating and start jogging, and on the weekends go out dancing. Size down the food portions, work-out, and when you’re dancing now ,you’ll get hit on more, which will boost your ego ,and make you diet that much harder.Positive reinforcement aiways works the best.
6 weeks you can lose 30 lbs. Lots of water, low carbs (low on anything white) that means eat the whites in the morning and afternoon but never at night, eat 6 small meals a day, a lot of veggies, fruits that are tart not sweet like strawberries and grapefruit, protein like red meat and fish, then MOVE! Exercise at least 20 minutes 3 times a week, you will lose the weight.
Yes, if you stick to it it work fine. The key is you must do both diet and exercise.DRINK A GLASS OF WATER BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY MEAL AND THUR OUT THE DAY.
This is egsactly what hapned to my mom she had twins and got fat she has lost about 25 pounds in a quick amonut of time she eats well and exersizes for 30 miutes everyday and she takes a brand called Fat Blasters tere great herbal products. About $50. All her friends are dieting now! She has been on so many diets and use to be a size 18 ans now is a size 12 in about a month. GOOD LUCK
Honestly i have lost 43 lbs in 2 months by not eating fast food at all and i do eat some south beach diet things like the snack bars. also instead of potato chips i eat soy crisps. i eat fruits and i don’t eat beef as much. try turkey burgers or fish instead. organic fruits instead of regular.and eat four small meals aday for example: breakfast 8:00 a.m. oatmeal or raisin bran lunch 12:00 p.m. turkey and swiss with spinach sandwich(very tasty) mid aft. snack 3:00 p.m. south beach bar or apple dinner 6:00 p.m. turkey burger or fish with broccoli and corn also for mid aft. snack try a protein shake or slim fast one more thing i have noticed especially for a month at a time switch all cooking and drinking water to distilled water (walmart .58 cents) good luck maybe you will have the success i have had
25lbs in 4-5 weeks is not really that feasible – i know – i had to lose 70lbs after the birth of my kiddo – however..you could lose about 15 I say – because I did and here is how…
South Beach Diet works very well – its a no brainer and it IS healthy so that part is taken care of. Some people complain about Phase 1 part of the diet, truthfully – I skipped it and went straight to Phase 2 and did very well.
Then second part to losing all this weight is exercise. And believe me – I hate it..but..you HAVE to do it – you have to do something that really gets your heart rate up and for me it was Billy Blanks TaeBo. It is kick-butt and even if you are a beginner – you can just do what you can , march in place and then catch back up when you can again. I did his Basic workout series, not with the bands that he has. Although any of them will work. But you HAVE to exercise – and I did 4 days a week for about 40 minutes.
THAT is a sure fire way to lose weight quickly and healthy – South Beach and 4 days of 40 minutes of cardio. Check with your doctor before beginning any exercise or diet plan though.
And last thought – 1lb of fat = 3500 calories. To lose 1 lb a week – you have to omit 3500 calories from your diet. It sounds like a lot – it is – but not over 7 days – over 7 days you have to omit 500 calories a day from your diet. And you do that two ways – 1. from dieting and 2. from exercising. If you can omit 500 calories in food per day and then burn another 500 calories- thats 2 lbs a week. you’ll also lose some water weight – so 2-3 lbs a week is pretty feasible.
Aim for 15 lbs in 6 weeks and you’ll be doing great! And I’m with ya there – I have 10lbs I want to lose and am on the fast track to getting it off. its HARD though but we can do it!
Good luck – be healthy and try to have fun with exercise so if Tae bo isn’t for you – find something else – simply walking (walking fast though) is going to do it for you too. Try taking a class of kickboxing or aerobics – I did kickboxing class 2 times a week and it REALLY helped. (and then I lost the weight last year and haven’t exercised since and am paying for it now! hahaha)
the best way to lose weight is self control, porportion control, drink more water, and exercise, exercise, exercise! go to the gym or take a walk with your dog! whatever you do, just stay active!
I’m very sorry to say, but actually South Beach & Protein diets are stinky diets that doesn’t always last. If you want to lose weight on a special diet program, Weight Watcher is the best! Weight Watcher teaches you to eat right; they do it by a point system. Let’s say based on your weight, you can eat 100 points per week. (Maybe 20 points per day or something, I’m not 100% sure on that) So let’s say you ate a slice of pizza, they might give you like 15 points for it. But if you eat like 5 sticks of saleries, they probably count it only as 1 point. Basically they add all the points up at the end of the day and stuff. My friend is on it and she lost 15 lbs so far. The jeans she was wearing was really loose on her! I remember 2 or 3 weeks ago it looked tight on her! I don’t know everything on Weight Watcher, but my health teacher even said it’s the best diet out there. He said his wife was on it and lost 30 lbs. She kept the weight off pretty well too. So you might want to give it a shot. Good luck!
The Atkins works great..But…it’s a qwik and temporary fix if you don’t change your eating habits for good. If you can become accustomed to a life of very low carbs (it’s easier than it sounds), the first 2 weeks are hard to fight the cravings, but after that it’s smooth sailing. Just have to stay committed to low carbs. And those Brazilian pills that Mrs. K was talking about are a really qwik way to drop A LOT of weight..BUT as with most qwik fixes they have drawbacks..I’m willing to suffer the drawbacks for the awesome results they give but they are hard to get right now b/c the FDA (as with all good weight loss pills ie: ephedra) they are trying to ban the Brazilian pills. So, your best bet is the South Beach or Atkins LIFESTYLE (not diets)…Good luck,from one mom to another!!!
