Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is considered by many to be the highest form of Jiu Jitsu because of the wide range of moves and procedures it encompasses. It is founded on traditional Jiu Jitsu, but was developed more in the earlier part of the twentieth century by brothers Helio and Carlos Gracie.

During the 1970s, Brazilian Rolls Gracie had included the techniques of jiu-jitsu by including a guarded position. He was not a large man and his ability to use leverage with all his limbs permitted smaller, weaker opponents to defend against stronger ones, biding their time, and ultimately emerge victorious. Improvements have always been madeduring the years, and now this type of martial art is the basic form for the Ultimate Fighting Championships.

The first thing in learning this kind of training is to go to the right school. Look up all of the schools in your area that offer Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Visit them and go to the classes to see what goes on there.
